Yes. Since the data is stored on the server, you will not have to play on the same computer all the time.

How do you avoid lag when you host such a high number of players on a single server?
There are no zones, therefore no lag from the zones. Then, we spread the load on several machines, and specific tasks are spread between server clusters.
Finally, in order to avoid internet lag, we use an international backbone, so that all players are treated on an equal basis.
有如此多的玩家登陆同一个服务器，那么你们是如何避免出现延时的呢？
DnL没有分地图，所以也不会有地图的延时。我们把负载分摊到几台服务器上，特定的运算任务由特定的服务器集群处理。最后，为了避免出现网络方面的延迟，我们使用世界级的中枢网络，这样所有玩家都可以在一个比较公平的环境下进行游戏了。
Do we need a high-end computer to play DnL?
If you want to access all functionalities of the engine, the answer is yes. Dark and Light engine can be adapted to lower-end computers, thanks to an automated system and several display options.
We are still working on the engine, in order to allow the highest amount of computers to run the game. But we won’t force you to change your hardware configuration.
At the moment, the game can be played with a GeForce4 video card. The game already runs with a 56k modem or ISDN.

Is the game played from 1st or 3rd person view?
Both views will be available. There will also be the option to use a distant point of view for large fights.

How does movement work?
You can either point and click on the location you want to reach, or use the arrow keys. You can set up your keyboard the way you want.

Is there a shortcut bar available?
You can access functions the way you wish, with hotkeys if you want. But there are some default keys you won’t be able to change.

Can DnL be played on Linux or Mac?
No, Windows only.
